Good gear on it. Would need to be able to 1 shot monsters up to lvl 5 with a 50% ee axe/dagger

Arena is far far faster than catacombs for those levels (and a little higher too) if you have decent gear.
So, unless you have a special reason for wanting to low lvl cata, just play arena for those levels.


Otherwise, probably a barbarian with your gear.

I assume this is for farming level 1 items.

Make a guardian, using an ee club, plate with ee, and a tier 3 heal with mana on it. All points into vit.

reroll when you hit 5 or run out of mana and life

assuming you're wanting to find mutable/glyphable/shrinables
you're better off doing arena simply because the limiting factor in both cases is really your attack cooldown time, so catas doesn't make it go any faster
this is what my str barb uses and it one shots everything level 1, one shots 35/40 level 2's
and I reroll once I reach level 3

keep in mind that running in the cats you have a chance of rods dropping, which can be the equivalent of 20+ muteables

I wouldn't bother with that myself tho, odds of finding a rod are not enough to make me want to inconvenience myself to the point of doing catas
I like solo because then you get your auto 2-3 life regen between monsters (but usually I don't even take a single hit )
whereas in catas just by sheer numbers you will get damaged and life will be something you have to watch
