now i have two questions:
1. i starts to feel its much more difficult to defeat hi-level monsters with my current fighter's ability.
anything i should change?

2. as a mage, which of the magics would be the best choice to major?
im currently majoring in earth - but that was because i couldnt find anyother better one.

please, if you think of anything that might help my build, let me know.
smile.gif thank you so much.

I'd cut back your fighter's vitality quite a bit (I wouldn't do more than the first 10 points). That would free up more points for dexterity and strength. Past that, just try to get the best EE weapons you can. For armor Dext/str/EE for mods, and charms use dext/str. Life steal, life per kill, and life per attack are nice additional mods.

For the mage it's purely preference on charm type, and you don't have to use just one type. Using one kind will increase your proficiencies faster, but beggars can't be choosers so to speak. Use an EE charm, and Intelligence gear.
It'd probably be best to put your first 10 points into vitality as well, and then all else into INT.

uh, but i didnt place any vit on this fighter. all base 10 points gone to dex.
is that a bad choice?

and since life steal cannot work pretty well after the new patch, do i still need to carry some life steals?
if i do, how much of the % should i get at least?

on the mage part, well i do put my 10 base stat points to vit. i guess that means i finally did onething right smile.gif
and may i ask: does monster receive immunes against magics (like we met in Diablo 2)?

and i mean, almost every (yes i mean EVERY) mage i saw were all majoring in lightning and wind.
so i was wondering if these two do better.

and thanks for your reply. so much love heart2.gif

Regarding the fighter - He means to lay off on the vit gear. You want to aim more for dex/strength gear. His point was to add your first 10 stats into vitality and leave it at that. It's a good strat that does pay off in the long run.

Past that, you wanna go for 120 dex and everything else into strength and ofc keeping as much EE on your weapon as #1 priority.

For your question about mages - no there is no such thing as immunities. The closest thing to it would be that your damage charms will be less effective against monsters with higher intelligence than you. But there isn't such thing as a monster which can't be harmed by lightning or ice or something like that wink.gif

And charm choice is all about preference because they all average the same. I love my Earth and Focused Heal charms because I prefer consistency, but I see lots of people who love Lightning and Wild Heal charms. The only real difference is that in price - wind is usually the cheapest and ice is usually the most expensive.

Putting your base stats into vitality is a good idea because you consistently gain more every level. Super-high vitality at high levels is going to suck because you won't to any damage at all.
You'll find that you'll get hit for 0 a lot more often if you get a high EE plate mail.

Oh and also remember that the stats on your accessory charm don't count, only the enhanced effect does.

so which way should i take: to rebuild this fighter or to keep him going?

and can you list me some of the 71lvl-mq-attempting final stats, as my goal?

and do you mean those +dex, +vit stats on charms wont do anygood? or just dont help on the vit increasing?

again thanks for your reply.

I think that it's best to melee your mage until level 15 - it makes it way easier. After that just get intelligence weapons / robes and attack / heal charms with EE and you'll do great.

With your fighter - you may as well keep going considering that you've gotten this far. But +vitality gear won't add to your life at all, just your defense. Most people shoot for around 100 or 120 dexterity with gear and put the rest into strength. So basically I'd just buy a +dexterity charm and an EE plate and you should be good if you put every other point into strength smile.gif
