Okay well I'm looking to build a guardian for high level no mazes.

I found this guide: http://forums.d2jsp.org/index.php?showtopic=19782009&f=272

However its the only one and I'm looking for second opinions biggrin.gif Anyone with experience leveling these bad boys? Looking to be a huge tank however hold a key aspect in healing the group!

imo go 1/2 vita 1/2 mana
get a high ee / heal mastery weapon and armor, and a high ee heal charm

Personally, I would go 100% intelligence. Once you get to high levels, 1 mana = 4 - 6 life or much more, depending on your heal charms. With my guardian I had not very good gear at all but I was still able to heal consistently for ~600 per cast, and with each cast costing 135 then that's like 5 life per 1 mana or so. And if I used a HM charm in my main slot and my focused heal in my secondary then it would be even better.

So yeah, from personal experience I would say that you should go 100% intelligence happy.gif but that's just me.

go all int.
1 heal with a tier 14 charm costs 135 mana.
that 135 mana turns into ~750 life per cast.
going all int actually gives you more life than putting stats into vita.
also, vita boosts your defense against melee mobs, but if you get a decent ee plate, you wont even notice the difference.
additionally, more mana benefits your whole party, not just you, as more heals for them is the primary need

It's idiotic to hope to build an all intelligence character with low base dex and use him as a tank.

high level no maze games you'll be getting critted for 500+, making it useless for you to stand in the front.

Heres the deal

are you gonna be a guard standing in back? if so obv full int

But if your gonna be a useful tanking barb

This is what I use and tank the shit outta it

58% hm club
114 ee
34 int 55 plate
40% hm
27 dex charm in main slot

and then i pump first 5 maybe 10-15 vita as starter stats... than the rest into int

this way i have dex^^ int ^^ ee ^^ and plenty of life/ mana.

im sure on sc you can get much much better gear

I go 100% inteligence, have about 130 int by 65+ and about 7k+ mana and stand middle. It does great as a healer.
