I am by no means an expert of this box, but I had questions that were hard to get answers and the LS Guide doesnt really spell out a few things. I invite someone to rewrite this as a better guide and hopefully get it stickied ( hopefully not my version =p)
Now, as I said I am in no way an expert, this is just my meger opinions. I am putting this up because I saw several people asking the same questions I had they just got flamed and talked down too, just like I did.
http://ladderslasher.d2jsp.org/index.php?g=14 Is a link to where it shows the Tier Levels on items.
The big problem I had was I thought all no level required items were lvl 1, but they arent.....You have 4 different levels of items that have no rank level requirement to use them. So basically 1 to 4 Tier Levels of Item Material are Level 1 Character required to use, or no level needed.
1 to 4 Item Tier Levels are no level required.......So if your going to transmute charms with items you have to make sure the charm number matches the Tier level of the Armor.
Just because both items have no rank level required to use them, does not mean they are all Tier level 1s.Example of this ~ A Linen Robe is a no rank required to use item, but its a Tier Level 4 Material, so you have to use a IV number charm on it.
In my experience the charm's magic level determines the magical level of the Outputting Armor. So if you use a Rare Tier Level 6 Armor with an Angelic VI Charm, the Output is the same VI Tier Level Armor Based Armor with the Magical Level of Angelic.Below is a copy of the combinations. Your Angelic armor mentioned before will be 100% random but 1 mod will be from the charm and it will be limited by the Tier Level of the item.
In last, What items are worth muting.....One thing to keep in mind is your time verses output. I personally save all Angelic or higher items and list them for 1 fg each for people to use and shrine items, or I mule a bunch of them for when I 'Well". The higher the magical level of the item the more life you gain. Remember you can also 'Shrine' charms, magical or higher. I believe you will gain back mana also with charms.
IMO ~ Any heavy used item is worth rerolling. I'd make some Robe mules and Charm mules and just roll the heck out of the higher level robes. Also daggers are in big usage, so save them and combine 2 to make a new one. Like right now I am just lv 20s, and using axes, there isnt currently any 30 ee lv 20 or 25 axes on the Market Place. Last night I had to pay 80 fg for an only ok club. FYI ~ Dont leave your char login and walk away. My cat hit the mouse and spawned a monster, I came back in and my lv 28 Barb I had spent over 400 fg on was dead.........But hey, good lesson =) Dont be a dork and die to a cat LOL !!
Transmutation Box RecipesAll equipment must be magical or higher. You can only transmute weapons, armor, or charms.
Both pieces of equipment must be the same Material Tier
http://ladderslasher.d2jsp.org/index.php?g=14 ( This is where I messed up big, I thought all no Rank Items were the same, but there is 4 Tiers of Material that are no Level needed to use.
