If I wanted to help negate Caster damage throuhout my climb without giving up a good deal of melee power.

How many points would I need to Hard stat into Int for the damage by casters to be reduced significantly enough to bother? (Include sammys base 10 int in your answer)

This wasn't a very common build tbh. I would suggest trying it both ways. Mabey do a few climbs while hard stating int to see where it gets you. I would say around 60ish would be nice. Mabey a lil less lil more.

You can always stat melee and get int gear also, that way you do dmg like usual and still have def from casters. Only thing is you lose the heals, but gain some dmg. It could work idk haven't tested these all that much. So test a few different builds and let us know.

Yea..thats the benefit of hard statting the points having that mana pool to help you out.

Besides if you hard stat the int then later find a plate that is a nice double stat (Say you hard statted int and then used a str plate..if you find a gg str / Int plate..it would only magnify the usefulness of those hard statted points)

I guess its more experimentation for me i've already had one miserable attempt @ Sammy hybrid simply because I was greedy on the melee end and didn't put enough in int to heal like I wanted..

I have a good idea of how much is needed but I need to test it..and the idea of another Hybrid climb doesn't really make me happy..>_<;;

Guess it has to be done though for the sake of quicker MQ's next season.

Well i don't have melee gear atm will be getting most of that shortly, but this is how I would suggest doing it.

Take your samurai for instance. Do climbs with the following

Hardstat

50
60
70
80

Includes the base 10. Start with the 50 and work your way up. Somewhere around there you should be able to find a nice balance between the intel and melee stats. Id work your way up though, I don't think it will take much more then 50 and im thinking 60-70 will be optimal for caster defense and healing purposes. Then again I would like to test out like a 10-20 hard stat and mabey like a 40-50 int plate and go rest all melee stats. You won't get the heals but the defense may be enough to increase your chains in the arena significantly.

And if the build doesn't work great, not like you can't just cata it up to mq real fast.

Unfortunately for me..the only option on that table I can really do truly effectively (as I have a fg budget)

Is hard statting 50 and then I can manage to somehow maintain still good melee stats (well..relatively good)

I may give it a shot when I get bored here in a few days..i'm just burnt out on ls atm

I think im on failed attempt #8 or 9 atm and its depressing. LoL
