I am a level 31 healing mage, i have a pretty gozu dmg charm too.
is there a good technique for me to solo?

Theres alot of catas and being a healer you shouldn't have any trouble getting in them. Soloing is pretty straight forward. Put your dmg charm in the main slot and your heal in the acc slot. Get the highest intel gear you can, attack with your dmg charm and heal when you need too.

I have a nearly 40 healing mage..if im not mistaken I started around your level today.

People do cata..your just not lucky enough to find a team I guess..
