Yes they disappear after reset, your master quest attempts are set back to 0 per character.
Max you can have is +10 extra, so you'd start off with +20 max.
Feeder = 1 per mq
Sammy = 1 per 2 mq
pally = 1 per 3 mq
monk = 1 per 4 mq
ninja = 1 per 5 mq
warlock = 1 per 6 mq
headhunter = 1 per 7 mq
alchemist = 1 per 8 mq
