so im relatively new to Ls, and have heard from a lot of people about selling mutable to make fg and how its done.

but what makes an item a mutable?!?!?

You'll have to wait a bit more than 2 minutes...
And a mutable is something that people buy to transmute. Usually they are level 20+ items which are rare or higher.

my bad, like i said im used to normal jsp, where 2 minutes means its on page 11 or so...
and thanks! how much should i sell lvl 20+ items for? and do i sell them in the LS marketplace or on the LS forums?

People usually don't make threads for mutables unless they're level 50+
Just look for similar stat items on the MP (same level and magic level, like both are rare or mystical) and it should give you some idea. If you put them up for a bit cheaper than all the others up then they should get sold quicker.
Also, you could post in the price check forum if you're still unsure.
