Second one,
if your going to use axes, the more strength the better and 100 dex should stop you from getting critted most times and gives you some crits yourself smile.gif

I was thinking the same thing go for high base power since this build isn't really suited to dex anyway.

Just enough dex to stop crits and to be able to give me high crits not very often.

But i'm also thinking of taking the +7 off the strength and adding it to vitality in order to tank better incase im stuck soloing (I tend to like the extra vit +10 base gives..but i'm willing to sacrifice +3 for my strength to reach 150.

I think a couple hundred more life could be more useful to me than +7 strength.

I'll use that I guess.

I've said it before and I'll say it again
your weapon type should have no bearing on how much dex you put in
the amount of dex/str from gear you can afford does have a role but that's about it

str is a damage % modifier
dexterity gives you a x%chance of dealing y% more damage, which can be seen as a single modifier
to deal the most damage you want both modifiers to be as large as possible
but since they multiply each other you want their product to be as large as possible
so it really doesn't matter what weapon you are using but you want to balance your str and dex so that they BOTH contribute to your damage

so if the product of their multipliers is 100 (random number but fo rmy example) when you have 120dex and suppose 100str
so according to you, you'd use that with a sword

but now let's use an axe
you say to use less dex and more str
if the multiplier was optimal at 120dex when we had the sword, it will be less than 100 now
so you'll have a smaller multiplier on your damage
so you'll be doing less

THANKS

seriously..

100 less now as a critical probably, but more on average damage.

I'd say weapon type doesn't make a big differnece but if your using a sword you obviously arent going to go with an all str build as you would be as likely to do with an axe..which is my point.

If your going to do a balance weapon type doesnt matter as much but there is a small difference.

Regardless I've chosen 150/100/10/62.

If I don't like it i'll use other options on future climbs since chances are I won't pass my first pally MQ
