Well, I've done a good amount of MQ's as a caster, and I'm considering moving on over to melee.

Basically, I'm asking the experienced melee people out there which would be better.

SETUP 1:
High EE sword
High EE armor (plate)
45+ dex charm

SETUP 2:
High EE sword
45+ str armor
45+dex charm

SETUP 3:
High EE sword
45+dex armor
10+LS charm


EDIT: Keep in mind that i will be doing my wells on a caster, not this character.

Well it kinda depends on what you want...

Setup 1 will have reduced hits on you
setup 2 will have you doing a good chunk of damage, but you wont be preventing any damage or gaining any life.
setup 3 will have you doing less damage than setup 2, but will be getting life back

Personally id go with setup #3
assuming this is your master quest gear your talking about, you should have high enough stats at 55 that you wont need a 45+ stat armor and charm.


with my paladins old setup, i could 55-58 no regen, using a 12 lifesteal plate, a 3 lifestael/38 strength charm, and a 157 ee club
You could get a14 lifesteal plate(or charm) , get a nice stat charm and MAYBE some lifesteal on it if you can afford it, and based on what weapon you use, get a nice 150+

This wil lhave you doing 55- atleast 60 no regen
BUT this is if your going pure solo, if your going cata id go with setup number 2
