These stats are all including the gear i'll be wearing at those levels or at least within a few points of what i'll be wearing.

Take into account. The second set of stats would require you to pay 125 more fg

While the first set of stats you already have all the items for and won't have to spend anymore fg.

Before I go to far on my samurai..past about 15 I need to make this decision.

i would go with 2nd build / equip
@40 132/80/10/50 @55 145/112/10/50 @70 152/120/10/50

@70 120dex and rest str is best for melee chars

i'd pay the extra for setup #2, the diminishing returns on dex makes it worthless going to 150+

I did go that way.

Only I changed it up a small bit so that I can have 120 dex by 55 (for the mq stretch) Other than that its pretty much the same as above.

If only..I could afford to incorporate LS into that build even @ the cost of some stat points..I'd be in

I'd easily give up the extra 32 or so stat points I got in strength for about 10% ls..hell even 8% LS I might give it up for lol

10% of 100 = 10 points so 10% of a 1k crit = 100 ..and from 55-70 you can sometimes crit 2-3 maybe more 1k+'s on a single mob

On a chain of 5 1 1k hit each saves you 500 life so 10% ls would be a godly help..would turn +5 chains into +10 chains at least i'd say even at high levels (w/ a good wep)
