what you desperately need at first is better gear
aim for a weapon with 50+ enhanced effect, this should be upgraded every 5-10 levels.
since oyu are almost level 30, go for a lvl 30 weapon.
as fighter, you can wear heavy armors with a lot def. so make us of this advantage and get a lvl 30 heavy armor e.g. with some stats such as dex/str, max life or life steal.
enhanced effect is helpful on heavy armors as well, since it increases the defense. go for more stats/max life/life steal on the charm.
in total, aim for about 110-130dexterity and put the rest into strength. these days, its quite commonly used. its not necessarily the best setup, but people are ok with it usually.
