so when you well an item, the boss is one of two levels by my knowledge... correct me if i'm wrong here,
your character's level or the item's level, what ever one is the highest.
is this true?

if it is true, wouldn't one be able to find a lvl 55 item on a lvl 65 character and well the lvl 55 items with a lvl 55 character with greater ease?
or will the well boss spawn at lvl 65 because that is the level the boss would NORMALY have to be to drop a lvl 55 item?
this is confusing to me because i thought that the boss can only be your lvl or the item's... the greater of the two
is this a lue-pole in the system or an easy way to lose a well?
it will take me a great deal of time to test this, that is why im asking.

Its based on what is higher your level or the items level

and level 55 items can be found while welling witha level 64 character ! (wells are an exception)


but you will haev better success welling 55 items at 65 than you would 55 , atleast thats the way my mage and pally are

what makes this easier than staying lvl 55? just the fact u can't find the lvl 55 items? or fighting the boss?
if you are able to drop a lvl 55 item into the well on a lvl 55 char and fight a lvl 55 monster wouldn't that be alot easier than fighting a lvl 65 monster on a lvl 65 character?

if that isn't possable ^ what if you were lvl 75? what lvl would the monster be?

Dont let the lvl req fool you into thinking its the monster lvl aswell. The monster lvl of a req5 item is 15. Always add 10 onto the req of an item to figure out its monster lvl. So if you welling a req55 item, it spawns a lvl 65 monster. Or 64 i cant remember. I always go by 10's. Req25 Item is lvl35 monster.

alright, but if you drop in a lvl 55 item... and you happened to lvl your... mage, to lvl 80 some how... what lvl is the monster?

the monster will be 80 or very close 2 it i believe. I know monster lvl in cats caps off at 70 but i think well's will continue to stay your level. Im not 100% on this, maybe 95% sure of this Im still new myself.

level 74 is the cap on well bosses i believe

okay, so it's clearly the best idea to lvl as high as you can to gain life/mana advantage over the well boss?
or is he godly at lvl 74
but at the smae time... he can't have better gear than lvl 55 right?... i mean wat does his gear look like at lvl 74, is he going to do more dmg?... he just has alot more life/mana than a lvl 65 well boss right?... and if you get to lvl 80+ it wont matyter much

To all your questions:

If you well a level 45 item at lvl 54 (well monster: lvl 55), it's easier than on a lvl 65 char.
Wellboss cap is 74 I believe as well.

It seems well monsters use items of their own level, with insane high dex/str/int/vita.
