weapon type doesn't really matter

It depends on your preference

A Rogue can use Axe, Sword, Staffs, Daggers Pretty much anything.

I would try to stay away from the heavy weapons seeing they have a slow attack speed and can cost a bit more.

Otherwise it's up to your preference and as much ee as you can afford on the weapon at jb stated.

This is the best advice you can get.

Sword= If you like excitement and high crits. These are for you.

Club= Mostly the same as sword but you will still do some min Dmg.

Staff= Can put up very nice crits and has nice min Dmg. ( I believe staff to be the best type in the game but only 2 feeders can use it and only monk after that.}

Dagger= Has consistent hit dmg along with a steady max dmg.

Axe= This is for you if you like consistent dmg.

Staves and Clubs are usually more cheaper.

Daggers/Axes/Swords are usually more expensive.

And heavy weapons are kind of still in testing. There are only few good ones out there.
