Hi there,
My question regarding the mage is as follows:
Currently I'm lvl 47 and I'm wearing this armor:
Code
Level Req: 20
Defense: 0 to 8

+580 Max Life
+92 Max Mana
+1% Physical Damage Reduction
+5% Mana Skin

Pretty shitty, eh? Right. I thought about getting a high int one, but I guess I will have life problems if I change the armor. What can you experienced mage players advise me to do?

Regards

You should look for mainly intm despite the life.
then if you find a couple of int armour you like, you should either look for max life or Life per kill along with the intellect on it.

yea look for +Int armors, they are expensive if the higher the intel the lower the lvl req. the int will help boost ur dmg/mana/healing charm making it very effective to solo.

I just made the experience that playing without the 500 extra life it's well annoying, thanks for the input so far.

Definately go for intelligence items if you're playing arena with damage charms. It's more important to have a good EE charm than the INT gear though if you have to be picky with the spending .. you can get away with lower amounts of int on the gear if needed. If you do enough damage and have an ok heal charm you shouldn't have to worry too much about your life amount.

If you're playing catacombs, you should be in back and you should be using a heal charm, not casting for damage. In that case, heal mastery is far greater than INT.
