Don't bother muting anything tier I or II.
-> Won't get anything useful
From 5-20/25 Stick to Angelic+ mods.
-> Chances are low of getting something godly, worth a lot.
From 25/30 to 45 Mythical + is the best.
-> This gives room for three new mods, still cheaper priced.
From 50 to 55 Rare + is fine.
-> These mutes cost a lot, and its hard to well whites for 50/55.
Do your best to mute like prefixes. Rare with Rare, Mystical with Mystical, and so on.
With 30+ Magic Luck you can mute different prefixes together and have a higher chance of it taking the higher prefix.

It's addicting.
I have a character for each weapon, and a character for plates.. All holding mutes. I only use two characters to fight with.
