since melee chars need a much better equipment do kill with similar rates than a medium mage.
if you want to climb fast, a hybrid rogue caster is probably the better choice in terms of cost/benefit.
make up your mind what your aims are and you will find all the answers you need in there.
Hardcore or softcore?prices in hardcore are higher, so you can probably sell your stuff for more. but since you have to invest more at the start,
you will also loose a lot before and dying once means the character and all the items on it are permanently lost.
since you did not play for a long time, i would rather advice to give it a start at softcore once again to get into it, there is a LOT that changed from your last visit.
Im looking to spend 50 forum gold for decent gear.. and then make more than 50 fg after i play it alot.getting decent gear for 50fg will be very hard, but it is a start. if you resell your gear and sell stuff you find during your climb you should make it to the higher levels,
but do not expect to rush through it, this will demand much higher investments.
Are pure dex rouges still GFG?not really, since dex has been nerfed. dex rates around 120-130 ( with items on ) are enough, the rest can be put into strength.
