Things to know before answering () :
They both will be level 75 before welling
The magician will have 50 vit
The rogue will have 45 vit

Additonal things to note:
I use a 123 EE, level 55 charm
I use a 100 EE, level 55 focused heal charm


EDIT: Yes, I realize by level 75, the magician will have 600 more life, and 900 more mana (I believe), but the rogue can wear scale armors, which is a nice 75 defense or so (if level 55 armor, which it would be).

i heard rogue casters are very nice on hc, though a rogue caster can never be compared to a mage due to the lack of base int unless geared godly but hell looks safer then a mage on hc

i'd say a sammy caster would be best option
you would have enough mana to well 1 item per regen time

you could wear heavy armor, and have nice life

that would be safe, in my opinion(which is not much, i don't play hc)

i like guardian its slow but youll never die.

I seem to well okay with mage on HC. /shrug
