which character can lay out the most dmg in 1 hit? and what stat build/weapon would i need to be using?

Melee fighters is probably the highest. With all perfect stat dex gear and a unspawnable 280% ee sword. These items are nearly impossible to run by.

Hdins, they are unstoppable once you know what your doing.

out of the feeder class it would be fighter.

Out of all classes it would be ninja

To do the absolute max dmg possible you would need

280ee heavy long sword lvl 55 /w 70str 70dext crit flux, critical strike, and armor peirce
Armor with 70str 70dext crit flux, critical strike, and armor peirce
Charm with 70str 70dext crit flux, critical strike, and armor peirce

Then pump all your stats into str

But for a normal person looking for a high end build you'd want

Highest EE lvl 55 sword
Dext/Str armor and charm

Get 120 dext and the rest of your stats into str

i think a gg CS zon.. my cs zon does 11k CS and she kills hell baal in about 3 hits

if u want physical thenid say prob a zealer

Whats with all the d2 idiots.
Id say a mage can put out just as much damage with a light charm and maxed int gear.

no, charms amp @ ~1.5% dmg whereas melee wheapons crit @ 2-3 times there max dmg

A 225 EE 55 light compared to my 241 EE 55 dagger did only 300 more top end crit dmg in maze cata
Now if you use a 175ish EE 55 sword you can see crits of 2.8k+ (~400 more than the lightnign charm)
