Alright, so I'm making a samurai caster so I put all my stats into int. However for the first 30-35 levels I'm going to melee. My current level is 20 and up to now melee has been kinda easy, levels 15-20 have been a bit more rough

though. My question is with the gear I am using right now I have about 101 dex [which should be enough for a little crits from swords] however I'm critting about 10% of the time. I know my sword is a level 10 but I don't think that

should be the worry, with 101 dex I'm mainly doing 0-60 damage 90% of the time. Should I buy a level 20 sword with 80+ EE or should I buy a dagger for more consistent hits? This is my gear currently, going to upgrade my weapon

i LOVE consistant damage!
i prefer daggers over swords by far. its really just a personal preference thing, but it just seems to go faster with high ee daggers as compared to high ee swords

so @ 20, if i were you, i would invest in a nice ee dagger

Dagger's seem to be really popular these days thus making it kinda expensive or hard to get [a good one]. With that being do you think that a 70EE dagger should do a decent job at level 20 with my other gear? Thanks

daggers a really popular because people love consistant damage, if you prefer using a sword over a dagger, then yes, upgrade your sword, since using a level 10 sword at level 20-25 is going to be tough.
my advice, go with a dagger.

I would rather use Swords cause if you pass you can use them on your pally also

Same as you, i have a set of sword for 0 -> 45 , if i pass pally wont have to buy a new gear

How do your swords act on lower levels? Does it take a while to level up or kill the monster?
