for rogue caster, the most common way is pumping all stats into intelligence.
similar builds would be to put the first 1-10 points into vitality, this is rather common in hardcore to avoid deaths.
in softcore, you can rather go the risky path. additionally, int increases your charm damage and your mana pool.
you can then use this additional mana for offensive casts, but also in combination with heal charms to heal you during combats and afterwards.
after the last updates, the general view on melee chars is that 120-130 dexterity is enough, the effect is not that big afterwards any more.
so the stating highly depends on your gear:
if you have good strength gear, pump most of the points into dexterity until you reach 120-130 dex with items and put the rest into strength.
if you have good dex gear, you will most likely not have to put any or just a bit into dex and most of the points into strength.
you may also put the first 5-10 points into vitality to increase your life pool a bit more, this can e.g. protect you from critical hits.
