This is my first character on LS so ive probably royally fucked him up already, but anyway.

I simply cannot kill anything from the well, and it's severly annoying me.

Is it my gear, my stats? or is there another reason for getting utterly smashed whenever i summon anything from there?

I can only go about 3-4 fights in the arena vs monsters of the same level too.

If anyone could help me out with what im doing wrong, i'd greatly appreciate it

First off, Lets take a look at what you've done w/ the stats on this character: (this is minus equipment adds)

Str: 69
Dex: 42
Int: 10
Vit: 56

Now, base stats are:

Str: 50
Dex: 40
Int: 10
Vit: 50

This means you have added 19 str, 2 dex, and 6 vitality.
Depending on when you added the vitality, this isnt horrible stat allocation. But, I would suggest that firstly, only add vitality at the beginning of the climb (use the first 10 stats for vit if you are going to add any to vit), and secondly, you should pick either str, or dex to stat and stick with it.
Many players like to add str, then get dexterity gear, or the other way round, to balance the 2 stats.

Moving on to your gear... If you are able to, i would recommend upgrading your weapons every 5 lvls, and your armor every 15 or so. The charm can wait, since it only adds stats, but i would try to upgrade that if you can as well. For the weps, continue to use weps with ee, the higher the better.

As for welling, Paul (njaguar) has made it increasingly difficult to well. With your gear, dont expect to win more than 10-25% of your wells. Even with the best gear it is difficult for a melee character to well. Even on a barbarian with a 220ee lvl 50 club i was only doing about 50% on wells at lvl 64, so keep in mind that you will never reach 100% well efficiency (unless you stumble on a godly setup for a caster and are lucky as hell ). the best you can do with a melee character is about 50-75%.

I started off putting points into str, then heard that you should put 10 in vit early on, so put my next 6 in there...

then i went mainly with str since then, and i think ill stick to that.

I'm going to upgrade my weapon when i reach 30, which hopefully will be soon.
