Weapon type doesn't really matter, damage wise.

Should be looking for for as much EE as possible on a level 15 weapon.

i prefer axes for the consistant hits

if you like to hit high, but not often go with a sword

but its generally best to choose a favorite type early, in order to train your proficiency with that weapon

imo i'd say around 15-30 dex and rest into strength

imo 5str/5vit at the begining. vit=life while str=dmg

for the rest of the way i say just max out str so u can buy dex gears. also if u put str every lvl u don't have to worry about dealing crappy dmg with crappy gear. this is why barb is great to be a start for new players
