What skill should I get after power strike? Been playing solo

Powerstrike + Retribution for solo Melee build.

You can just choose two abilities... get Powerstrike to 72% (by level 30) and Retribution to 40% (adding this by level 55) ... then you can up Retribution from there ... 46, 51, 55 (level 70)

also if you can answer, should i bother with transmuting on my first character run because of death penalty?

Go for it ... I am not sure if the death penalty works with skills. Maybe someone else could answer this. However, still good to get Mute if you are interested in it... and you also gain experience points (to go up in character level).
