i was just saying, this guide is to help beginner slashers.
many beginners don't know things like what life to run from a fight with, etc.
that is why he was saying that barbs are great, and why he pumped vita.
so that they can stay alive and have a better chance of surviving.

personally,i hate barbs, especially dex barbs.
but this guide is great for beginner slashers, as barbs can easily level to where they can find decent gear.

also, the extra 5 int points on a fighter means almost nothing when talking about the defense against casters, its negligible

reason dex gear not cheap.... guide "to new poor slashers"... STR gear cheaper.

I have played this game (obviously), just because I don't spend every minute possible on this game doesn't mean I don't have an opinion. Or info to give.

If you had that gear on your STR barb and had to reroll...O.O I was doing 'fine' with a non heavy armor and crappy EE axe.

u can go on the market place and buy cheap dex gear and go pure strength...

but to claim that barb is the best char to go as a new slasher is not right in my experiance:

I'm saying STR barb is a viable option for a low budget melee char, not that "Dex fighter is the best"

They both work, for different reasons. (Str barb = constant dmg, Dex = Nice crits and bit of safety)



Just because you have more MQ's/time spent playing LS doesn't mean you can claim one thing is correct, when it's down to opinion/preferance and how you play LS.


I've tried a dex barb and a str barb and a dex samurai so far.

Dex barb was the worst
Str barb was second
Dex samurai best out of the three so far.

datis, i respect ur experience, but you only had a few climbs as a beginner slasher, and that was a while ago.
all the other climbs you have had the benefit of decent gear.
for beginners who don't know what they are doing, and don't have good gear, barb is a fantastic char for them.
