Get daggers axes dex robes dex charms. <-- this allows all melee classes to be dealt with.

Get Int Staves/robes and The type of charm you like + a heal set. This covers wl/alchi

Wild/light dex charms when u get hh

This covers all classes.

Or you can get swords+str gear Staves + dex gear + Axes

Either way works first option may cost more per piece but will save you fg in the long run.

I have/am doing exactly that! Though I'm trying to upgrade a few lower level robes to int/max mana.. since I have a few mana problems :D
Thank you!!

honestly you can use just max mana until lvl 10 cheaper and its just as effective. The int that low is just an overkill.

So int is really that useful at very low levels, alright : Thanks :)
I think I should also look for something with max hp at level 0/5 .. I only have 60 hp (I stat 10 into vit at the start) .. kinda scary starting at 40hp for a mage

i always use min of 30 vita on a mage more if i solo. a max life/mana robe wont hurt but they are kinda hard to find. I just keep a stack of sardines on my mage just in case ^^. Fish are wonderful.

This is the route I took for my hardcore climbs:

EE Daggers - this will cover feeder / samu / monk / ninja
EE Axes - this will cover pala / HH
EE Ice or Fire - this will cover lock / alch
-
Padded robes with life Tier III, Lvl 5, Lvl 10 - this will cover monk / ninja / lock / alch
Padded robes with EE - Lvl 15 / 25 / 35 / 45 / 55 - this will cover monk / ninja / lock / alch
Scale armors with EE - this will cover feeder / samu / pala / HH
-
Dex wild heal or lightning charms - this will cover all melee classes - good for both dags and axes
Heal charms only levels 15 / 25 / 35 / 45 / 55 - good for any class except HH (they have too low Int anyway). At levels 1-14, I eat +life fish if needed.

Forget dex robes. This is useless for lock / alch.
Forget int robes. Useless for monk / ninja.
EE robes will be useable for all robe classes, and cheaper.
Forget chains/plates. Useless on HH. Scales = better albeit more expensive.
