The topic says no fg,
and the build talks about items you bought.

Rouge is horrible with no gear at high levels.
You have no heavy armor, and get killed in no time unless you leech catacombs.

Rouge is always underestimated on hardcore and by no fg I mean, starting with no fg. Thought you would have gotten that once you read the guide, like the others, guess not.

Rouge have no gear at high levels? Are you crazy? Rouges can use anything, but heavy weapons. This guide is for people with absolutely no fg to start hc and climb up solo, not for people who have thousands upon thousands of fg to spend on ladder slasher. You climb up by yourself with no fg and using only the fg you got through your climb. You'll be climbing with a bad weapon and would probably not kill anything...

Of course rouge can't use heavy armors because if they did, they'll be overpowered. You can find a nice damage weapons at a low price from the fg you would averagely make on a climb (Level 40 staff /w 79% ee for 59 fg, which you could easily have made by the time you hit 40), while you're on a barbarian or a fighter or any other character, you won't find nothing that is within your price range. (The cheapest and most decent weapon on market for character at 40+ is a 52% ee level 45 sword at 225...) You have more chance of killing a monster on rouge then a barbarian if you got no fg in the higher levels.. How is this possible considering rouge cannot wear heavy armors? Well they got more variety of weapons to buy from and use that will kill the monster pretty fast. Yeah you might be tanking on a barbarian and not getting hit as bad, but you'll still be dealting a lot of damages with most likely a low damage weapon.. Which will then resulting it for you to difficultly kill a monster.

Honestly, talk what you know and not what you think..

If you're not gonna bother reading it, here is a summary:
Rouge kill faster which will make up for the lost defense.
Fighter/Barb/Etc. will tank more, but not that much for a significant change in rouge and will kill A LOT slower.


By the time of my 2nd or 3rd climb, I was able to easily solo by myself, so I do not know what you talking about. (Didn't really feel like soloing by myself though...) I only ripped twice and that is because of mine internet connection loss. Rouge cannot take damage, but they're by far the cheapest character to make high damage in catacomb..

and LOL at all those people who say "you lied, you still used fg!" Hard to believe that people were so dense as to read it that way

Gl with your climb. After about 13/14 mqs I gotten 10k fg and still have my monk setup and have not once find a decent item that sold for more then 500 fg.

Eh, I see you're doing softcore.. Not sure if you're able to get the necessary amount of fg to buy a new weapon unless you want to use your own stash.
