one shot at 12% only works at the low lvls (but even then i use 25% because i want all monsters to be killed and not just a few.. or the monster needs a second hit... and even at 25% not every monster is killed every shot).. later on you should charge higher. remember that.
charge up to at least 37%.. if you have bad or medium gear.. 50%+ doesnt hurt either.. at higher lvls even 100%.
or you do hardly a scratch to the monsters after their defence is counted in.
12% multicast means you do 1/8 of normal dmg.. if you crit it is 1/4 of normal dmg. so if your normal hit does 4 times the dmg of the monster life.. then you oneshot it.
i have 244ee ice at lvl 55.. and i dont normally one shot monsters with a normal hit but i do with a crit.
so even at 50% charged multicast i normally dont one shot monsters.
only advantage of such a low percentage hit is if your whole team got multistrike/cast and is using it at lets say 25%.. then 5 hits together make like 100% normal dmg (i dont say 125% cause the monster defence is calculated for every hit and not just once) which should kill the monsters in case a few of the team crit.
remember: you dont ONLY want a lot of actions but you also want high total dmg. a good combination of both works best. if you cast at 12% your total dmg will suck for sure. easy maths behind that
