Going melee lock is crazy. Not even rick does it these days.

eh with 4k fg which would be ur budget this is what id do

get a nice club set and go daggers

spend more fg on the clubs 40-50 140+ee 55 170+ee


daggers lvl 15-25 100+ee 30 110ee 35 115ee 40 120ee 45 125ee 50 130+ee 55 130+ee


before making it to monk go staff set and spend more fg on them than daggers they have alot more dps output because it crits alot more often than daggers


get a descent heal set level 30 all over 110+ee ur MQ heal try to get 135+ee will be around 300-400fg its a good idea to spend a good bit on a good 1

for stat armors use all stat armors till level 40 then go EE armors. ee at low levels isnt really a speed lvling build you can just heal urself and kill faster



OR you can just go casting gear and go descent clubs and daggers..casters crit about 1 in 5 attacks and easily kills mobs at high levels with even
100+ee charms but for lower levels 1-20 your guna have a hard time finding good mana/intell items

the problem with clubs and daggers is just that you have to buy dex gear for daggers + str gear for clubs.. keep that in mind if you ever make it to headhunter.. he wont like clubs, too

staves and daggers do the same dmg. staves crit more, yes, but daggers have a higher base dmg (after the stats get calculated in)
you could only buy higher ee staves for the price of lower ee daggers.. but on the other hand.. sammy or ninja can use dagger, but not staves

Currently I'm going:

Dex set + daggers
Int set + ee lights for casting

Will need to get ee axes for HH if I get there ( I have a few, but would need to invest 1k in a few to fill in gaps).

Could I not use dex gear for axes and just pump strength? Since axes are 50/50, correct?

exactly. imo for axes it doesnt matter which ratio you have.. get as much stats as possible.. i always say: 50/50 cant hurt.. but i am also doing great dmg if i have 230dex 30str on my char using axes. so use dex gear, stat str.. but dont do any extra effort to get the 50/50

Any organizational tips? Seems kinda lame but.. currently I run my inventory (casting mage) with gear up to level 15 for each (staff, robe, ee light, ee wild heal) and the rest is in the item vault ready to switch out.
Is that the best way to do it? :/ Thanks

in groups yes. (i am also using +ees items on lvl1.. so i can carry my items until lvl 40 before i have to use the vault.. this way i am faster at switching..)
if you solo.. i would put all not used items into the vault and only carry shrines with me.. (normally i dont need shrines in a group if i go with warlock.. if your mana runs out you should always be careful with shrining in case you have shrines and gear in your inventory) so there is no danger to shrine anything of your gear

Something I've seen many new and returning players do is go back to town to vault; you no longer have to do that. You can now press "V" to open the vault in the catacombs. You can also shift+click an item to place it into the deposit box, when the tab is open, and ctrl+click items in the vault to place them in your inventory. Doing this allows you to manage your inventory in between clicks so you don't slow down your group.
