Even though I agree with many of the things posted before there are a few things that I want to add.
In most tests people have done, myself included, 1 crit (with daggers) usually evens out to somewhere close to 2,8 dex. This number is however based on not using abilities and not fighting eps.
I always use a 26 crit + 50 dex setup while using daggers on all chars after samurai, because this is by far the most efficent for group climbs if you ask me. The power of critical strike is not how often you can 1 hit a single monster but rather how often you can multistrike and crit all 9 of them at the same time. I somewhat agree with Phirip's statement that crit has a diminishing return as having 15 or 25 critical strike really does not change it all that much in regards to hitting 1 monster. It does however increase how often you are able to trigger critical strikes with abilites such as multistrike where you easily take out the entire bunch of them.
Critical strike can easily cause an insane overkill of damage, so it's important to not save up abilites as high as you would usually do. It simply enables you to use your abilites earlier, thus making your total damage dealt skyrocket

Some things to add:
- Don't be afraid to sacrifice ee or dex for crit. Just make sure that if you are going to do it, you add A LOT of critical strike

(20+) (obviously decent base ee of weapon is needed)
- The whole calculation of 1 crit = ?? dex becomes redundant once you get 20+ crit and use it in a group climb. It really cannot be calculated with standard play (not using abilites at the exact same time vs exact same number of monsters, and obviously luck as well)
- Probably the most cost efficient stat you will ever add.
- Not needed for casting, you crit enough as it is. Int is the way to go here.
