i am understanding the ratios more as a value of the stats for each weapon.. so if you do one str on a sword it is like 3 dex.. imo it isnt really important to keep the ratios but it is just important to put all you got into the higher number of the ratio.. meaning all dex for daggers, all into str for swords.. and for axes it doesnt really matter if you go with 100str 100dex or 180str 20dex.. the crits are more depending on the weapon type you use.. it is almost self explaining that your daggers are getting stronger than your axes because if you got lets say 240 stats and you are able to do 200dex/40str on a dagger it means that you got 200*0,9 + 40*0,1 = 184ee for your weapon.. if you got the same amount of stats for your axe it doesnt really matter what you stat.. you will have 240* 0,5 = 120ee for your axe.. meaning with the same amount of stats your axe will show less dmg than your dagger.
at the beginning when the ratios were introduced you did the same amount of crits with all weapons.. so daggers did A LOT more dmg than similar setups with axes.. that was changed.. the shown dmg of daggers is still a lot higher but daggers crit a lot less compared to axes.. so the number of crits is just depending on the weapon type you use (casters do the most crits though; also not talking about extra +crit from gear).
but it is for sure no more the case that str is boosting the dmg while dex is boosting the crits.. this is how it worked with older updates.. but no more. str wont boost anything if you go with daggers.. 90 str will be like 10dex
WOW. now I totally get it. thank you so much for explaining it so well. you should have written the guide i read, you would have done it much better. so now i understand the values and how they effect the weapons efficiency.. And realize I have ruined every single character I've made so far. No wonder I'm getting raped all the time. Thank you!!
p.s. if anyone has any higher lvl ee swords, pm me if theyre 300 fg or less. thanks.
