That is really interesting, thanks for testing that out ^_^

And yeah, this game lost a ton of player base over the past year or so :(

next time I use that char, i'll do 68-71 with no abilities used, 100% str and then follow the ratio and see what happens, so it's not screwed up by the huge crits of the ability,
but even in these two tests I can see my avg damage was lower and my normal non ability crit was much more often doing 100% str, but i'll do it with no ability next time

Thank you for testing this!

It confirms what i feared, that keeping the ratio is useless. We will be sure if tests are done with no abilities at all to mess up the results, but unless you changed your playstyle completely, the difference of the two avg-damages is big enough to speak for itself.

alright well test #2 is finally done, there is a rather big difference in avg damage and crit following the ratio, I am convinced it's much worse
69-71 my average damage was 714 with a high crit of 10.728 using powerstrike || gear is the same as before, 201str / 67dex ( 75/25 )
I shall from now on stat 100% str

Doing only 2 tests can be dangerous as their is a high variance in which your sword can hit for.
You need a much bigger sample size to actually get definitive results.
This might be enough but some may say you either got lucky on your first test, or unlucky on your second.
In retrospect, I tend to agree with your first test, but you might need a bigger sample to get a 'real' result.

edit: Also compare your actions! This might help aswell.

a crit of 21500 will throw off your results vs crit of 10k.
Plus you need to be solo in both cases, imo ts not worth testing
put all your stats in str on samurai
