Personally, I use ee daggers, an int/life/cs/exp robe, and a life/dex/ls charm until 30. Then go pure caster the rest of the way, all stat points into int, all ability points into pierce cast.
Quite fun. Even with my pure newb 0-1 defense robe, I solo'd 35 to MQ last night, found me a neat little 16x ee X axe, and managed to go down 14 trapdoors. Was good fun.
Healer? Dunno what you mean. Naturally, using a true casting build, you can heal if needed, but why focus on healing, when you can focus on shreading mobs instead?
Oh, and soloing sneaky in 5 minutes or less with a monk caster is pure e-sex, too.
