You can essentially make fg in a lot of ways on LS.

By finding gear and selling it, selling your gps to a guild, or even getting high up in a skill(very time consuming)

But that doesn't mean you will make any fg from this game.
Some people have done over 100 climbs and have found nothing worth more than 1k fg, while others find items on their very first climb.
