at higher levels with decent gear, mage.

barb and fighter are made to do melee which actually require somewhat gear to do dmg

Guardian is very limited with gear and can not use caster dmg charms

this leaves rouge and mage

both can go caster

mage starts with high mana pool making it easy to cast

but rouge starts with higher hp rather than high hp and has more range of weapons and armors
