Okay...
Sword... low minimum damage / higher maximum damage
Axe... good all round average damage
.... What to look for... Enhanced Effect (#1)... +X Crit/Life per attack a bonus
Plate Mail... best defense item... looking for Enhanced Effect... Adds Str/Dex/Int... a bonus
Chain Mail... pesonally... I do not bother... but you might get some cheap with better defense than some plates based on level

Main Charm... Adds Stre/Dex/Int... Str for damage / Dex for Crits and reduced crits / Int for magical defense crits/damage

Acc Charm... Heal charm with Enhanced Effect... at times you might require that little help.

Stats for starting out... go pure Dex (Softcore)... if you do not have any +Dex items @ level55... you will not reach the so-called
100-120 Dexterity that people rave about...

Ohhh... from levels 1-15... you can forgoe the EE and just get alot of life on all 3 items... after 15... EE is best option... unless you have some
really nasty items...
