Both. I Cata with my friends, and I do Arena when they're not around or there aren't any good Catas going.

In that case I'd suggest focusing primarily on intelligence gear, because it helps with both attacking and healing. Heal mastery is a great second mod though ;) but it'll make arena a lot harder if you only have heal mastery on your gear

In addition to helping both attacking and healing, intelligence really boosts defense vs. casters. Nothing kills a solid chain on a melee character like a sick caster mob.

i have a similar question but slightly different, at what point does intelligence offer more healing then heal mastery on a charm...for instance i currently have a 13 int charm + 24% heal mastery...if i wanted to upgrade what charm with pure Int would offer better healing (i know this probably depends on the level of the charm, but i am looking only for a rough estimate to base this off of. ofc i would love a charm with more to both, but these are far and few between even on the market)

If I'm not mistaken HM:INT ratio is like 1:1 Right guys?

I may be thinking of EE vs Int (Tbh)

i always thought hm is roughly equal to 1.8 int on heals, could be wrong though

I don't know really I Just did a little testing on my mage (just reach MQ on it)

I heal better w/ 38 Int Robe 29 HM staff and 42 HM charm than with
24 HM Robe / That other stuff

15 point difference and im healing 50+ points better max I think..

Though I haven't did enough healing to know what my new max is yet.

Imo Int > HM though pretty much period

Considering HM doesn't help your damage or negation of magic crits and INT does HM should only be a bonus when buying items not factored in like he intends to.

The Difference between HM and INT's impact on heals imo isn't even remotley enough to justify dropping any INT for HM unless your choices are like

30 Int Dagger w/ 20% HM over like a 35-37 Int dagger plain.
