So I have been reading as many guides as I can on LS and the Barb class specifically. What I find confusing is that each guide recommends a different way of building your barb...

I'm starting out on HC, and I'm currently lvl 7. The first guide I read said to put your points into Int until you're at 35 (so level 20), to beef up your mana pool for healing charms and to resist caster attacks. Others have recommended dumping the initial points into Vit and the rest into Str... etc etc

I've also been using a club for the first 7 levels, as thats what I read in the first guide too. Whats the difference in your weapon types? Am I going the right route with +Int till level 20 on a HC barb?

I've not yet to do any Catacombs, just been soloing in the Arena. I imagine there is a lot to this game that I still haven't figured out, so I'm all ears to those of you who will share. I'm not looking to dump a ton of FG into this until I start seeing some return from it. I also bookmarked the guide about how to remain profitable as you level up.

Thanks everyone!

Personally i dont like the int route.. Yet i havent tryed it.. Im quite new aswell but i just cant imagine it being SO beneficial enough to do it.

Yet i could be wrong.. I would say start out and do the VIT one and then some str/dex

I was critting like 80-90 with my level 5 barb

With just a plain level 5 weapon

So i felt the dex is good.

I dont know much though.
Just my opinion!

Goodluck!

you'll need to cata with your char wink.gif especially if you don't have many fg smile.gif

so I'd say, if you haven't, put 10 stats into VITA
then high str and good dext ( it means 80+ dext at lvl 65+ )
int is so needed in HC, it is harder tongue.gif

about the weapons,

swords give low dmg and very high critics
axes give very constant damage ( so you need high str to get good constant dmg )
cliubs is between swords and axes tongue.gif

it depends on what you prefer smile.gif

thanks for the replies guys! gandalf, how did you get that sig?

well, i'm level 7 now and i have put most of my points into INT, with maybe 1 in str. i'm using clubs so far. i thought 60 VITA was ok for HC? thats the base for the barb right?

Personally I think that it would be best to start on SC until you get the basics down and then switch to HC when you've got a bit of backing in the game. But that's just me.

And his signature is a LS Dynamic signature - you can pay people to make them for you or learn to make one yourself wink.gif

from what i've read, the SC population is pretty crowded and its easy to get lost in the shuffle, i prefer to play higher risks, higher rewards! :)

maybe thats the wrong way at looking at it, but it seems like HC should have some higher rewards associated to it

Good grief, i'm finding that there is so much depth to this little flash game... more than I thought possible! I'm swamped in open tabs of guides! There is so much to know!

Level 8 Barb
Level 4 Mage

Haha! Yeah, I did the same thing when I started this game (less than a week ago) I must have had 10+ tabs of guides, tips, open at once.

Good luck. I'm staying away from HC for a while.

hey guys, on my lvl 8 mage, if i try to melee i consistently hit for "0"... is there any reason for this? i've heard i should melee from levels 1-15, but melee is so slow i've been casting the whole time...

was the meleeing from 1-15 so i would level up my wpn skill?
