Hi, I'm looking for some advice on what's the best gear for welling. I want to be able to beat ALL well monsters with ease with my Paladin using a club.

Which plate would be best and why?

1) 200+ EE L55 Plate
2) 55+ Dex (or Str?) L55 Plate

How much dex is needed? Will 120 be enough, or do I need more since I'm fighting harder monsters?

And if you have done wells with your Paladin, please share your experiences and what gear did you use, and how well did you do with EE armor versus Stats armor. Can it be easily done without life leech? Because it isn't dependable anymore so I'm not gonna depend on having leech but just tank it out.

Do I need to get a healing charm?

I've been told AXE is best for paladins.....sorry can't help you more but here's a free bump since I'm also curious as to what's godly for a pally to successfully well

Yeah I suppose axes are best. I'd rather stick to clubs though.

Are you fixed about a melee weller? Paladins are very good caster characters also, much like a rogue caster but much better. If you don't do the amount of successful wells that you want to as a melee, try the caster , my pass percentage is about 85 - 90 % and with the gear I have it should be way more accessible to obtain in softcore [and your most likely able to gain much better gear] Nevertheless you should have somewhat close gear to the ones you listed, and clubs could do the trick you just need a lot of ee on it. A healing charm would be good also since they do have a good mana pool even without int points added, and it only increases the chance of passing.

Have you ever tried Wells with a melee?

I am currently bidding on a 250ee club. I don't know if I will get it yet or not. I am praying that I will get it this time.

Plus, I have Rank 11 Club profiency now, so that's another 11% EE right there.

And then I'd have to buy a high dex charm. There is a plate mail with 41 dex/31 str for sale. I need to get that too, but not enough fg...

I try to avoid going caster as much as possible.

Need more feedback please.

Should I go for 50/50 str/dex?

but i did a full str barb ^

had 189 str 75 dex ( 50 dex charm ) and a 65 vita

and that did about i say 75% of my wells between 65-71

75% is really bad :/

What was your gear?

I want at least 95% success. What if the monster spawns with 200+ ee weapon? I want to get that.

just make it easy on urself and use a caster but if u want a melee pally here it is 230+ ee on an axe if u can or that club u are bidding on 200+ee armor with a dual mod on it is very nice u will need it either str or dex or a tri one is way better hard to find (ee,str,dex), either a dual mod charm str,dex or str ls, or dex, ls all good high mods and of coarse u need a 200EE heal charm thats a must, u wanna live as long as u can and like the other guy said they have a good mana pool u just need the bomb heal charm or if u can get a high % ls charm like 10-14 prob would b nice too but try that in solo mode b4 u well wuth that just to make sure ls has at least a good impact on it if u ever complete ur setup don't try to well a lvl 55 item first try somethign smaller like a tier3 item if u can do that u can effectively do a lvl 55 item.
