My favorite character to use when starting fresh is the Barbarian. This character has high vitality and strength starting off and that helps alot. First:

1) Put the first ten points into vitality.
2) Put all the rest into strength so you can use low ee weapons and still do decent damage.
3) Sell EVERYIHING you dont need and keep what you can use.
4) I suggest rerolling @ lvl 40-45 because its slow lvling after that and my best finds are always in the 30s.
6) Throw everything non-magical you find into the well, you can get lucky sometimes smile.gif
5) Repeat the process

I just started fresh 2 weeks ago and ive already made around 2k fg wink.gif.. Here's my suggestion to those of you low on fg and starting fresh:

1) Buy items you need cheap, you must understand the pricing system to do this.
2) Sell them back at a little higher price when you're done with them. (I did this every climb when I was trying to make some Fg)
3) Sell everything you find and dont need at a slightly cheaper price then other items with similar stats on the mp.
4) Once you get good enough to go all the way to level 71 you can sell your mq to guilds for about 100 Fg a point wink.gif

This is my guide to starting fresh wink.gif I hope it helps someone that needs it. I know its not that detailed, so if anyone needs help just pm me smile.gif

yea i know but my best finds (worth 200-400 fg each) were in the 30s.. ive never found anything at a higher lvl =\.. its good for starting because you get the hang of the game and you can lvl fast like that.. plus i tend to sell and buy alot and i bought cheap and sold at a decent price, making fg every reroll

Yes, dont reroll at 40, slowly level your way into the high 60s, there you will find lvl 55 mutebles wich go for very good fg. and When yove got enough MQ and climb again tongue.gif and again. And again. And again. laugh.gif
Also i wouldnt start with a barbarian. If you start with a magician youre kills will be faster (faster climbs) and its much easier to well (More good mutebles/items). Just remenber to put your first 10points into vit and rest into int.

I'm not saying don't reroll, just asking why since I don't know. Also: what does mute or muting items mean? And why do MQ and climb again and again when I could just stay and MF at high levels?

If you join a guild wich pays for GPS you might want to MQ (you might pass who knows biggrin.gif) and get more items while you climb. If you want to MF its up to you aswell.
Muting basically is when you combine two items together to make a new one.

Code
Q: What is the transmutation box?
A: The transmutation box will "fuse" two of your items. You will lose the two items you "fused" but in return you get a new item with new stats.
Recipes:
- Armor + Ice Charm = Armor with Strength or Mind Numb
- Armor + Fire Charm = Armor with Intelligence or Armor Pierce
- Armor + Lightning Charm = Armor with Dexterity or Damage Return
- Armor + Wind Charm = Armor with Dexterity or Critical Flux
- Armor + Earth Charm = Armor with Vitality or Block
- Armor + Wild Heal = Armor with Mana Regen or Luck
- Armor + Heal = Armor with Mana Regen or Physical Damage Reduction %
- Armor + Focused Heal = Armor with Life Regen or Magical Damage Reduction %
- Weapon + Weapon = Weapon with new stats
- Armor + Armor = Armor with new Stats
- Charm + Charm = Charm with new Stats

* All armor and charms must be magical or higher
* The tier of the armor and the charm must be the same
* The armor will be the same type of armor (possible variance on magical), with a guarenteed stat above depending on the charm type used
* Armor must be in 1st slot, charm in 2nd

Q: Does ‘Magic Luck’ have any effect regarding the result of the transmuted item?
A: Yes and no, I've seen LvL 1 chars muting a 231 EE wind charm, maybe having Magic Luck will increase your "Luck" a bit more than your normal "Luck". Nobody knows the actual formula nor has it been revealed.

Q: Which magic level will my item get?
A: Here’s a (basic) scenario with 0 Magic Luck.
Step 1: Highest Magic level Item - (minus) Lowest Magic level Item = XX
Step 2: XX + (plus) 1 = XX
Step 3: 100 : (divide) XX = XX%* To Spawn At That Magic level (see examples)

Example:
Mythical (LvL 5) - Rare (LvL 2) = 3 (5-2=3), 3+1= 4, 100:4 = 25% Chance to spawn either rare/mystical/angelic/mythical Magic level. (With insane amount of luck you can also get a magical or arcane one)

1 = Magical, 2 = Rare, 3 = Mystical, 4 = Angelic, etc.

Q: Which prefixes will my new transmuted item get?
A: You will get prefixes that are based on the item level. Therefore it's impossible to 'mute' any low level with 50+ str/dex etc. Section 3.5 for more information regarding this.

Oh yeah TRANSmute of course lol.

Is the chance to find items very significantly lower if you don't fight monsters of your own level? Or why do you get more items while climbing?
