Hello,

I noticed that Rogues ain't that much played. Then I decided to started it.

Some things I'd wish to know
  • Assuming I got 55o fg of budget, what kind of stuff could I wear - I would like a stuff which with I could do easily arena's, avoiding catacombs because there are no drops.
  • What would be the better about Enhanced Effect - 150%+ ?
  • What kind of armor should I wear - Dexterity/Strengh/Enhanced Effect - It looks that in Arena, Enhanced Effect is apreciated very well, since you can resist against monsters
  • What kind of charm should I wear - Dexterity/Strengh/Life Steal - Looks like Life Steal is helping alot.

To me, good stuff would be :

- 150%+ Enhanced Effect Staff - 5%+ Life steal
- 150%+ Enhanced Effect Armor - 5% Life steal
- 5-10% Life Steal Charm


~> Assuming I've got a small budget, I think the items I mentioned above are totally impossible to get laugh.gif

with what you are think that will cost you ALOT!

with low fg and if you want to go solo, i suggest you to go CASTER.... if you wanna go melee go with barb or fighter....

caster you need to find armor and weapon with inteligence and a charm (prefer fire/earth/ice) with high EE

First thing i can see is that you want make a rogue melee that is possible, but i reccomend you to make it caster or instead use another character for make a melee char like Barbarian (for strenght build) or Fighter (for hybrid build).

For start with a low budget imho you must try to get:

- weapons with 60+ ee
- armor (if you decide to take fighter or barb take plate or chain mail armors) with strenght or dext add (ee+strenght/dext its best or life steal+strenght/dext its godly but such armors are too expensive, try to get a good stats one)
- same thing for charm ^^

At low level try to use a not more unspawnable charm or armors with 80+ life per kill and when youo reach high levels try to have a gear that can give you also +10% life steal or more ^^

Allright. The melee solution, is one from my sister. Why isn't a melee good ? Because staffs are lower than daggers ? No..They have nearly the same average dammages. Not so low, not so high.

There is no really problems with that forum gold. My sister lent me all her staffs,
She has this :


Mythical angelwood staff
Level Req: 50
Damage: 105 to 280

+116% Enhanced Effect
+2 Extra Item Slots
+1 Critical Strike
+3% Block
+2% Critical Flux


Assuming this doesn't costs alot. I could even purchase a better one.

the problem on melee rogue its that Barb/fighter its way to better as a melee... but there is no problem on making a melee rogue.. but if i was you i would go "hybrid" so you use heal charm too...

and i dont understand you staff question

it's 105 to 280 WITH 116% EE - no need to calculate further, whole damage range is shown. meaning that a plain angelwood staff would have alot less damage than yours.
this isn't like Diablo 1 where you had to calculate armor class and damage smile.gif

I followed your advices, so now i'm going for a hybrid ( melee and caster )

Rare imbued leather armor
Level Req: 30
Defense: 13 to 41

+34 Intelligence
+1 Mana Regen


Rare fire IX
Level Req: 30
Spell Damage: 52 to 139
Mana Cost: 85

+94% Enhanced Effect
+1 Life Regen


Rare mithril axe
Level Req: 25
Damage: 62 to 74

+30 Intelligence
+3 Magic Luck


I don't know what to wear for caster, my mana is going out so fast
