Yes it's their mount, it just speeds up and looks different.

After I re-read his question, I think I misinterpreted it.

Magus's are always on a disc. The disc also serves as their mount, it just speeds up and looks different from your non-mount disc.

A magus never leaves their disk. It serves as their mount at 20, and if you pay attention, when you take a windrider on a magus you can see them fly away on their disk.
