I have both WoW and WAR. I have 2 weeks left on my WoW Sub, but before renuewing i was gonna consider WAR again. I played WAR for 2 weeks when it first released, for free and i liked it, but from what i understand it has gotten better since release and is a bit cheaper.

So, WAR Crew: should i leave WoW?

Volkmar, iron rock, dark crag, phoenix throne are some good higher pop servers. It seems like destruction is a bit behind on most servers at the moment, mostly because of numbers. Its a fun game you should give it a shot.

Personally I dont think War is better then WoW.
It had a good potential, but they kinda ruined it imo.
Item customisation is lame, unless they fixed that from release.
The RVR is a grind worst then wow imo.
And to get good RVR gear will ask you to raid keeps, wich is fine, but the PQ that you have to roll vs 40 other player to get 1-2 item is retarded.

UHm, the best gear you can get is from city instance dungeons/Lost Vale, NOT pvp.

If you consider PVP a grind, then you sir should stop playing video games.

Item customization is fine, you just gotta know what you are doing.

Just stay in WoW, WAR is obviously too advanced for you.

The part where you said Item Customisation was fine maybe me lol quite a bit.
Unless they fixed it since release, I do recall having epic boots on my witch elf that gave more Will power then any other stats.
That sure is the stats I want to focus on as a Witch elf.
Sure am Happy that War is such an advanced game.

It's gotten somewhat better, but you still see a lot of items with useless stats. I remember when they added influence rewards for RvR (THey screwed this up bad because you could gain influence from taking BFO/keeps, so people purposefully avoided eachother) and out of like 16 items, only 1 was useful for a sorcerer. Everything was willpower and toughness rather than int and wounds.

you know, the whole game isnt about hitting as hard as you possibly can...it also involves taking a hit here or there, and not having 3/4 of your health go away from it, thus creating more strain on the healers

willpower may not necessarily be the top priority stat, but it should be up there rather high, since it makes you disrupt more often, and on a witch elf, you are going to be aiming for the people who would be the ones getting disrupted when you ambush their ass.

and on BW's, dunno bout sorc's, but i get a tactic that lets me heal each time i cast a spell, so having willpower makes it heal for more wink.gif dunno if the sorc's work like that or not, but its still not a stat to completely overlook by any means.

edit: in respone to the original post: Yes, come back and play WAR a bit, and see if theres anything you like since you played (its changed a lot) and make the decision for yourself. $15 to take a break from WoW and get to a different style of MMO is worth it, imo.

I dont give a shit about willpower, and the reason is this one: In my spec, I had an ability that made me disrupt spells for like 5 seconds, so I could use it when I was gonna get spiked.
