What is the d2 version of the paladin.

Basically what is the noob char that you can make decent without knowing much like the hammerdin. I just don't want to start like I did my first chars on diablo where the skills were all wrong and so on.

a character guide would be great too

you can always respec the mastery trees if you do em wrong for a small in game gold fee.

but you won't go wrong with any character in most mmorpgs, diablo is a hack n slash game, and is different smile.gif
A tank will let you survive a bit longer than all the other types, kinght of the blazing sun have auras, much like the paladin in d2, I don't know much about destruction though.
I play order myself. Try a few out to lvl 5 or 15, and then go with the one you like the best.

thanks yeah I am currently a lvl 8 destruction version of the knight I have an aura and an attack and I wear heavy armor and the such.

The lack of choosing stats makes it easier because you can't mess up like I did wasting skill points on Str and Dex but my char seems to be doing well in pvp and pvm

would you happen to know what color the most rare items are

currently my shield is purple, my gloves and body armor are blue and the rest is green

how far above purple do the items go so I know if I find a item when do I know it is useful like an soj, shako, nigma and so on.

cause when i first started d2 i thought bad rares/magics were nice items now I consider most uniques worthless.

Set items: Orange
Purlpe: Epic (very rare)
Blue: Rare
Green: Uncommon
White: Common

I've played 2 weeks now and I've sold most of my things to vendor tongue.gif except rare and up, those I stash in bank, might put em up on the Auction House sometimes later.
When you use most of the items in this game, they won't be tradeable after, so if you find something you want to sell later, don't use it smile.gif

The items still have colors like d2 douchebag and all the colors mean something and incase you didnt notice based on the post below it is a lot like d2

so say something useful or stfu.

all I wanted was too see if there was a noob char and which items were worth keeping I was just using d2 to help people understand why I was asking these questions.

I didn't want to make the same mistakes I did when I started d2...

and incase your are too stupid to understand the word compare you can compare a rock to a house it is still a comparison and the goal is to understand the other things better via properties of something you are familiar with.

they may be different games types but they have similar properties

Well, any order char you can play with no skill and be decent.

Except a Witch Hunter, if you suck as a Witch Hunter, you will just get stomped.

But as far as hammerdins/smiter, I think a Warrior Priest is right up your alleyway...

Thanks so much for the help... I will start and order char on a new server.

I have seen some low lvl order chars do pretty well in pvp.
