Havent been on JSP for a while but just wanted to come warn everyone that they have been cracking down lately. I got a 2 month ban and haven't received gold since may. Also 5-6 others in my guild received bans in the same week. Be careful while trading.

In all fairness, what can they really do going forward? Are they going to click thru every AH or inbox exchange?

mailed gold is already subject to automatic bans, no need for any clicking or staff input. If you receive a suspicious amount of gold you get banned period. There's no reason anybody would be sending 50k+ gold in the mail for nothing in return.
AH is much harder to prove and automatically ban. Sure the people that are doing 1 million gold for a single item but anything in 0-30k chunks is hard to detect and does require manual inspection, which AGS/SG doesn't have the manpower to deal with every individual trade to check the legitimacy of said trades.

Imagine sending a friend 50K for their birthday or something only to get banned.

I know right. I saw someone the other day that said this happened to them, well something similar anyway. *allegedly* A friend of theirs decided to quit so sent them 60k in the mail, he was permanently banned and raging on forums about it.

I sent a friend 150k the first time I thought of quitting and other reasonably big chunks here, still never been banned.
9 times out of 10 if not more, those crying about getting banned because their "friend" sent them gold bought the gold from certain other sites but no one's going to admit that of course.

From what i've read. any form of RMT is a bannable offense when caught. The difference is SELF farmed gold vs botted gold.

Both have risk, but MASS botted gold sellers + resellers are flagged and the users they trade with get banned. PPL are saying they got temp ban when they used AH method and got their gold taken away when they got unbanned. When gold resellers and botted gold sellers have a transferlog, its not hard for them to to flag these trades.

Mailing is an autoflag.
