I came across this forum post on the lost ark website and found something very concerning regarding the West region population. For those playing on the West, are you guys at all worried about the population of NA west?

Yup. l'm west coast and playing on East due to my friends and how there will be a population issue. This game is driven from the AH and how you earn gold and it's tied to progression.

I could have 40 ping and play west but then 80-90 and play east. You can simply play this game comfortable under 150 ping.

Many people share my exact thought. Even some Koreans said to avoid dead servers if you can. I hope this game would of just been central servers and not split the regions.

New world has shown for every 1 person on west, east has 3 if not 4.

Yea, I'm not sure why they split NA in the first place where West only has 3 servers compared to East with 6 servers. I'm guessing they just don't have any data centers in the Midwest to host more servers. Only hope is that eventually they will come up with ways to transfer chars or merge servers somehow. What server will you be playing on? From some of the data gathered, it looks like Azena will be the most populated.

I see many players in the West that will be playing East. As long as your ping is sub 150 as said, it will be a better player experience overall. Not sure why Amazon thought keeping the split after New World's numbers was a good idea.

What server are u planning on?

As much as I would like to stay on West, I might just go with East. I think the pros outweigh the cons. Ping shouldn't be an issue since the increase is probably negligible and the only other potential small problem is timing of daily quests and doing things with your guild and friends might not be as convenient since they are 3 hours ahead, but it shouldn't be that big of a deal to plan ahead when doing things. BTW which server will u be playing on?

Same leaning towards Azena also. It does look like it will be the most populated server

Yeah the nice thing is many will be in the same boat as you guild wise and with a guild cap of 100 members you should be able to find a group that will run around the times you will be

I plan on playing on whatever server is first on the list at release. If it's Azena I'll be going to the second one more than likely. Trying to avoid the streamer servers myself. Goal is to just get in before the queue and make my character and start playing lol.
