Sure, just like you don't NEED to play 12 hours a day, or spend $1000 dollars, or NEED to be t3 first week.

Only a complete idiot wouldn't have 4-5 alts if they are sticking around.

You can knock dailies out in an hour, that includes your chaos/guardian raids.
Alts are only beneficial in t3., they do fuck all for t1/2 realistically.
You can blow past t1/2 in a couple days, at most one weekly reset if you have bad RNG, or fail to understand how to farm breaths efficiently.

The reason alts are beneficial in t3 is because you will be using 10k+ stones for 1 attempt, and you ain't getting 10k stones reasonably quick.
This is even stated in most KR guides after the catchup islands released, they state don't worry about alts if you are starting out, since they won't do much for you.

/e of course island farming is way better than alts, I'd assumed he'd cleared the majority. Even so, I know people who did the full island farm and are STILL stuck at t1 because of really bad RNG (100% upgrade chance on rank14-15, dozens of failures)

If "failing to understand how to farm breaths efficiently" is the issue, maybe instead of being facetious, you could tell him how to do it. Thanks, as always, for your valuable input and assistance.

no, waiting 1 day for reset is better than fucking with alts that aren't actually doing shit in t2, since you aren't going to get your alt to t2 while your main is t2.

/e its also like... ngl 80 shards on a 340 item level dungeon, that does next to nothing either. you get like 10x that on your main from their dungeon.

You can easily get an alt to t2 while your main is in t2, ESPECIALLY if you're casual.

Catchup mechanic means many less failures upgrading.

Also, it takes time to get alts to t3, I can't imagine not having alts on the go unless I was tryharding.

i fail to see how unless you are playing 10 alts, you get your alt to t2 in less than 3 days, since if you are using map rotas and buying the golds from the auction at end of chaos gate you will have tons of breaths, shards, etc to push t3.
The mats just aren't going to come in that fast, failure aside, we could just assume 100% success rate, and you STILL wont be able to farm enough mats.

said it 3x now, I can see reading isn't your strongest suit.

More advice would be, make sure you are doing ALL your dailies, since clearly he isn't if he is failing that many attempts. chaos gate rotations shit out at least like 40 breaths every clear.
