Yeah man same. I left WoW mid shadowlands/classic tbc (so probably more recently than you), but I still would love to see some of my old pals transition over. I've been advertising the game hella hard. Basically anyone i bump into who looks nerdy IRL I've asked ,"You heard about Lost Ark?".
I think I convinced some random curly haired kid yesterday to give it a go.

It's a strange thing when I played WoW my IRL friends that play we hung out alot more.
Now it's slim to none because they busy with progression all the time.

D/w I'll hang out with you. I've got pretty good pot too.

Also i wanted to include that it may just be the times mate, we live in a time where people are encouraged to be less socially included. Social distance, no big parties, no large venues, etc. Its quite possible because you aren't connected in that manner(WoW) they may not see or think they can do the hanging out part as much.

Since covid started I've admittedly become a hermit. I work from home when I can. I don't go to events/shows/concerts anymore despite being heavily into music. I don't really hang out with anyone anymore, but its not that I don't want to. I never have had covid, or a variant, and I'm pretty content with keeping it that way. My wife had it and I spent 2 weeks in my own apartment.
