yea nope. those who buy for the current price are dumb. no matter if they end up banned cause "bad seller" or not.

Depends what you are buying.

Cerberus peaked at 250k, was at 90k the other day.

Assuming gold is 2x what it was when it cost 250k it is actually smarter to buy now for example.

It's called relativity.

The way I see it is that $100 is equivalent to 7.5K - 9K fg if you're buying steam balance, battle.net balance, RL trade forums, Riot points, etc.

Right now you can maybe get 60K gold for $100, so I would look for somewhat similar ratios for fg equivalent to the value I could get by using fg to buy many other things on this website.

If the ratio is .2 to 1g (i.e. 12K for 60K fg) then I'm basically overpaying by 3-4K fg and I don't really need to gold enough to do that. I would consider buying at a ratio that is closer to .15 given current prices.

That'd be nice, but it seems most of the big sellers are just reselling (or at least following the prices set by the large resellers), so they'll never be the same. That's always been the case, though. When FG prices were .7 etc, it was $4/10k on a couple sites.

I dont think bot bans are all of the issue. I'm thinking people are buying gold because they feel 1370 or other milestones are within reach, with all the extra mats. Maybe i'm wrong, but looking on the "usual sites" where our sellers probably get their gold, the stock hasnt changed much. many people with 7-9mil on each server/region, which was the case before as well. If anyone else has any insight i'd be interested to hear, as i'm just guessing.

No i aint buying for the current rates, its way wayyyy overpriced. Gold isnt hard to farm in this game, i aint paying 3k-4k FG for 10k gold when i make the same 10k gold in 3 days... too overpriced. If that means im getting 1400 1 week or 2 after the guys still buying, so be it, no biggie.
