At this point I've been knowledge transferring 1 character / day. I just hit 5 alts at max level, may do a 6th, but I only have the 7 slots atm and I don't want to get more (both due to paying for more and the time it takes to run 5/6 alts). My main is 970~ and I don't really play him much, but I do his daily stuff...need to do islands to progress him.

Anyway, what I'm doing is boost a character to 50 (302 ilvl).
Go to tower, clear first 4 floors (get 3k harmony and 10 leapstones, ezmode)
Use some of my tradeable matts to upgrade the alt to 340 (I leave it at 340 unless using BOUND mats, OR making it my "main" alt)
I funnel all their daily chaos dungeon materials to my main (main alt in this case)
Rinse and repeat as you go through the tiers.

When you hit 600 ilvl, go to lab in your stronghold and research the 20% reduced upgrade cost and 20% increased success chance for t1.

Don't forget you can run infinite chaos dungeons and send the token things to your alts to gear their with "bound" mats to help increase the level (and drops) of your chaos dungeons.

Also, the pirate ships outside of major cities can sell you up to like 900 guardian fragments and like 750 destruction fragments that are NOT bound.

I had 3-4 fails in a row on multiple pieces and it delayed me a couple days. You will get there.

I'm 600 and don't have this option, I'vr done every research available and sit on blank screen for research.
Nothing has popped for this.
Any idea? Maybe have to complete Yorn?

It may be 802 ilvl? But it should definitely be there. I have slacked on my stronghold and still had the option.

Search your research list under "all research" for "tier". It will show you what requirements you need.

Yup as soon as you get Gear Level 802 this option will appear.

100% agree with what you are saying, after some research I immediately made 2 Alts with the Powerpass. 1 clone of my main and then another to play for fun.

That got me over the 600 hump and now I can repeat the process slowly as my main starts to hit a plateau but I have both of the Stronghold Researches to make boosting the alts so much easier. For those interested, this Research is available for the T2 version as soon as you hit 1302 Gear Level.

@OP, this is the big bottleneck of the game so don't let it stress you out. The early progression within each Tier is very fast so you'll "catch up" pretty quickly imo.

Like 302 --> low 500 is easy, you can instantly Auction House 802 Gear and get to low 1000, etc.

you don't NEED alts.
i'm t3 currently, and while i did powerpass my alts, the only thing i did on them was Merchant ship, and got 1 alt to 420 for extra tower rewards, but they were negligible. 1 daily reset = way more shards than I got from tower.

Alts are only beneficial in the end game, since you will literally be spending years in t3, and the amount of mats required after +15 are INSANE.

If you are doing ALL your daily/weekly content, you should be well into t3 by now.
